ATTENTION: POLITICAL CORRECTNESS ALLERT.
For liberal American Jews that mostly vote for the Democratic Party there won't be any moral challenges in the coming elections.
If it's between any one of the democratic candidates versus Donald Trump they will and can gladly vote for any one of their candidates.
But for the Torah observant Jews it is a huge moral challenge.
They don't eat "taref" and they also don't eat "nevela".
So unless it's Ted Cruz running against any of the nevelot of the Democratic Party, a Torah observant Jew with dignity shouldn't lean towards the "taref".
In a case like that when it's not a life threatening situation we just don't eat.
No to taref.
And no to nevela.
Shortly: it's easy to be a liberal American Jew.
But it requires real dignity and strength to stand up against this moral challenge as a Torah Jew.
That's the test coming up.
